Business and IT Building
About the Business and IT Building
The Business and Information Technology Building features innovative research laboratories, modern lecture halls, a large café (Hunter’s Kitchen), and student lounge areas. It houses the Faculty of Business and Information Technology.
Like many academic buildings, part of its rooftop is green. The vegetation helps regulate temperatures in summer and winter, reduce stormwater runoff, boost biodiversity and improve air quality.
An underground cistern with a capacity of
collects roof runoff water that is then used for irrigation and flushing within the BIT building
The BIT roof is part of the
system of green roofs across multiple campus buildings
